These are some amazing BGM from the movie Kovil Pura. The first file is the theme music which comes at many places. The same has been sung by our Maestro as a bit song in another place.

The shotrt song is another masterpiece in Rasika Ranjani. I think no other composer has dared to touch this variant of Sa Ri Ga pa Dha so effectively so many times. The benchmark of raaga "Amudhe Tamile" is also in the same movie. Though I have not seen the movie I think "Amudhe" is a Guru-Shishya Song and In the short bit I guess the sishya is remembering (either thinking something about him or may be guru is dead..? I don't know) and the beauty is, The weight brought out in the short piece is in so contrast with the classicalness of the Amudhe.. And yet it leaves the listner with a familiar taste of the two characters.. May be I am totally wrong.. But this is what it makes me feel..
