81. Punnagai Mannan

BGM 1: Betrothel

Short and sweet piece. I don't know if it has any Sri Lankan type music as required by the story.

BGM 2: Following Kamal

Nice BGM befitting the scenes with the sculptures VGP.

BGM 3: Expressing love

Nice piano version of the Love theme. It sets the mood for the piece which follows within the next few minutes in the movie.

BGM 4: Escape from hospital

I remember the glorious piece written by Vicky on this piece. Would like to revisit the same and know more from him.

Can you link to the piece written by Vicky, if you have it?

Saraks,
I got this from my archives. This looks incomplete, however, enjoy reading.

"The Punnagai Mannan piece I’ve posted is an excellent one. The situation is that revathi is hospitalized and police guard the hospital. Kamal enters as a cleaner and takes her.

The piece starts with a suspense piece with guitars playing great. Just listen to the bass guitar. then when he wakes revathi to her surprise the luv theme starts in flute with excellent orchestration and chord backings totally different from the original piece.

Then when kamal says "come" and lifts her and goes out of window the piece goes on with drums starting and rolls. While on their way through the hospital premises trying to escape from police the piece goes to suspense mood with trumpets and clean guitars. Then they finally escape which is ended with a flourishing piece love theme."
